More Information

Over the last 12 months the house has had work carried out to reduce heat losses including cavity wall & loft insulation as well as new double glazing. The house is heated by radiators which when installed had already been oversized. The Danfoss DHP-AQ 16kW Air Source Heat Pump was the perfect choice with its market leading performance, low outside noise and high hot water production.

The oil boiler was removed from the ground floor WC and the new heat pump controls, buffer tank and 300 litre hot water cylinder were all installed in the garage freeing up valuable internal space.

One year on how is the heat pump performing

The heat pump has now been in for you just over 12 months. It has cost £1,418 to run so the customer has saved over £1,000 compared to their previous annual oil bill. They have been able to claim the Renewable Heat Incentive which is £870 per annum for 7 years.

The Solar panels since June 2013 have generated over 5,362kWh of FREE electricity generating over £1,000 from the Feed-in Tariff.

Taking into account the above the customer has reduced their energy costs to nearly zero and are now heating their house constantly rather than sporadically as before.
