Following a number of meetings we put together a scheme to include the following services:
Four integrated Premium Solar Thermal Collectors, ETA Wood Pellet boiler Under-floor heating Plumbing & Electrical services
Work commenced in early 2012 with the installation of four Schueco Premium Solar Thermal Collectors which were integrated into the slate roof resulting in a very aesthetically pleasing appearance.
This system was eventually integrated into the 1,000litre thermal store installed in the house which was also connected via pre-insulated district heating pipe to a 32kW ETC PC pellet boiler which was installed some 20m away in the dedicated plant room in the garage complex. The pellet silo which can hold over 6 tonnes of wood pellets was installed in an adjacent purpose built room. Wood pellets will be transported by vacuum automatically once a day at a pre-set time into the boiler’s inbuilt hopper allowing for a very low maintenance heating system.
In the house under-floor heating was installed throughout and full plumbing services were carried out throughout the house inclduing four bathrooms, kitchen and utility.
As part of the electrical installation we installed low maintenance and highly efficient LED lighting, all power services, wiring of heating systems, audio system, power to security system, electric gates & CCTV as well as outside lighting.
This property is a great example of how renewable energy and energy efficient products can be integrated into a premium property without effecting the appearance of a traditional Cotswold stone home.
