Air Source Heat Pump & Solar Panels near Banbury, Oxfordshire

Completed in November 2013, as part of the refurbishment of a farm house in Balscote near Banbury, we installed a Danfoss DHP-AQ Master/Slave Heat Pump to replace an aging oil boiler. Heating was distributed by both Myson Under-floor heating in the new kitchen/dining room and radiators elsewhere. At the sametime we installed a 3.92kWp Solar Photovoltaic system using world leading SunPower panels. One year on and the system has performed very well. The Air Source Heat Pumps have cost approximately £795 to run and the SunPower Solar Panels generated 10% more electricity than estimated. Financially our client is very pleased. What was a £2,500 annual bill for oil is now £795 for heating and hot water. There is also the added benefit that the system is eligible to claim the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). This is a Government Incentive to help consumers invest in renewable energy and come away from fossil fuel heating. In this case the client will receive £1,460 per annum for 7 years; a total of £10,200!!!! The Solar panels have been registered to the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) scheme which pays for the energy generated. In year one this has earned the client a further £550 and will be paid for the next 20 years!!! All in all a very happy customer.
