The Tesla Powerwall 3 has been a popular choice for both residential and commercial customers seeking energy storage solutions since it entered the UK market in September 2024.
In a recent project for Carl Jay, the owner of a car cleaning business, we completed a commercial Tesla Powerwall 3 installation, installing two Powerwalls for the customer. This client had previously had a solar panel system installed by our team at Stratford Energy. However, due to the high efficiency of our systems, the business was generating more energy than it needed at certain times, resulting in surplus energy being sent back to the grid.
Now, with two Tesla Powerwall 3 storage batteries, the client has a total storage capacity of 27 kWh. This allows the business to store any excess energy generated by the solar array until it is needed during high-demand periods. Before this installation, the business was exporting 50% of its generated energy back to the grid. Since the installation, the business has significantly reduced its energy costs by better managing its energy generation.

A commercial Tesla Powerwall 3 installation is a great way to increase the efficiency of your operations. Whether or not you currently have solar panels, we can install a Powerwall to help optimise your energy usage. You can learn more about this particular storage battery here.
What Results Can You Expect?
Results vary by industry and depend on the type of solar panel system installed. In this instance, following the installation, the client now sources only 8% of the energy required for their operations from the national grid. This has led to a major reduction in energy costs.
Cost reduction is just one benefit of a commercial Tesla Powerwall 3 installation. Businesses can also enjoy:
- Cleaner energy
- A lower carbon footprint
- Greater appeal to consumers
- Appearing more attractive to stakeholders
