Bristol Veterinary School already had an existing 50kWp Solar PV system. To increase self-consumption of the Solar energy they wished to consider the addition of batteries. We installed 3 x Tesla Powerwall battery units which worked well with the restricted space for the batteries.
The 40.5kWh of storage have a charge/dis-charge rate of 15kW which have helped increase the usage of Solar energy.
Options are available to increase this storage capacity as Powerwalls can be stacked up-to 3 deep.
