The farmer asked that we considered our design in line with the Feed-in-Tariffs. With this in mind, Phase 1 was to install an array just under the 10kW band, with the view in the near future to install a further 80+ panels to completely cover the roof. There was also the added complication of mounting on 15 year old concrete fibre roof where access was restricted to only from above.
We designed a 9.675kW array and installed 45 x Schueco MPE215 panels with SMA Invertors.
Our customer was instantly pleased with the generation levels following the commissioning of the installation, so much so within 2 weeks they ordered another “10kW” array on another part of the farm.
