Schueco – Number 1 in the UK
We are delighted to inform you that Schueco UK Ltd were the proud winners at last months Building Awards held at The Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London for the Category of Manufacturer of the Year 2011.
The panel of judges declared Schueco to be the clear winner in this category thanks to an impressive programme of expansion and investment that marked it out as a true industry leader. In contrast to the many companies who were retrenching during 2010, Schuco UK used the year to invest heavily in its renewables offering, recruiting extra staff and developing new BIPV systems.
In addition, it expanded the resources of its aluminium division, launching a series of new window and façade systems including a Green Guide ‘A’ Rated window. Schueco was also commended for its commitment to improving the industry’s overall knowledge base by running an increased number of courses – which are open to any company – at its purpose-built training centre in Milton Keynes.
Overall, the judges were of the opinion that Schueco UK was making ‘an excellent contribution to the industry.‘
