Installation Day

Our OZEV-accredited engineer fits your charger on a dedicated circuit, tests the installation fully, and leaves your home exactly as they found it. Most jobs take two to four hours.

7kW vs 22kW: Which Do You Need?

A 7kW charger is the right choice for most homes. It will fully charge a typical electric car overnight and works with any standard single-phase domestic electricity supply. A 22kW charger charges three times faster but requires a three-phase electrical supply — which most UK homes do not have. If your property has a three-phase supply, or you charge commercial vehicles at home, a 22kW unit may be worth exploring. We will confirm your supply type at the site survey.

Tethered vs Untethered: What Is the Difference?

A tethered charger has a fixed cable permanently attached — you simply plug in and charge. It is the most convenient option if you always charge the same car. An untethered (socketed) charger has a socket instead of a fixed cable. You supply your own cable, which offers more flexibility if you have more than one EV or plan to change cars within the next few years.

Charging a Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) at Home
