Ofgem are the regulators for Utility companies in the UK, essentially the regulate energy firms, and decide how much energy providers can and can’t charge, to try and keep prices fair for customers.
Every 3 months, Ofgem review their price cap. For October to December 2024 they have increased the current price cap by 10%, meaning the average bill will increase by £149.
